Well the preview was quite nice. There are Over 1500 new APIs in OS 4. There’s over 100 new user features. Create playlists, 5x digital zoom, tap to focus on video, gift apps, geotagging, places in the photo app, change the homescreen wallpaper, bluetooth keyboards… spell checker. However Apple really pushed these Main features:

Folders: ability to put Apps in folders. It looked like quite a good alternative to Categories

iBooks for iPod touch/iPhone. Self-Explanatory. I will continue using GoodReader

Game Center. I am not a fan of Apple Gaming (and since the iPad has the same graphics chip as the 3GS), but the game center looks nice. There are Achievements, leaderboards, match making, etc

Multitasking. The big one. I wasn’t impressed by Apple, sure it looks like nice, but this phrase “The user just uses things and doesn’t ever have to worry about it”. I hope they haven’t limited multitasking

iADs. The feature I am most excited for. Finally no more ADmob and the conversion rates will rise too. Hopefully the ad creators will put some effort in the ADs, I don’t want HTMl5 to be the new flash

All in all this was a good update for the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3g users. Better then 3.0 for sure. Let the waiting for 5.0 begin. Read the Original Article here and share your thoughts, below
