By now, everybody has heard about the iPad. When Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad everyone was surprised at how inexpensive it was – just around 500$ for the cheaper 16GB model (without the 3G). iSuppli has calculated the price of the iPad to be 287$ (price of all the manufacturing parts). This is almost a 100% profit.
Personally, I think the iPad at its current price is a good deal. The iPad provides a beautiful 9.7 inch display. And since I like surfing the web and reading ebooks on my puny iPhone — the iPad’s screen will be a nice improvement. And hey with Apple making new Generations of ipods almost every year — I am sure the high price won’t stay for long
